Practice your English-speaking skills in a group on Zoom. This is a fun, casual atmosphere to practice and improve your English. Speakers of all levels are welcome. We have a new topic for every meeting. The class will be hosted by Claudia from the South Holiday Library. Theatre Event - An Afternoon with the Florida Jazz Express. Sunday, October 23, 2022, 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of music appreciation featuring the talented Florida Jazz Express, a professional, contemporary big band that provides high quality musical entertainment for audiences of all ages and for all venues. This big band is made up of 18 of the most talented professional musicians in the area with resumes that include performing with the world’s top entertainers. This performance will be a special blend of both classic songs and cinematic soundtracks for a perfect introduction to big band music!

Baby Storytime. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s). Registration begins 2 weeks prior to the program.
Important Note: Only a single registration under the baby's name is needed.
Masks are recommended but not required.

Toddler Storytime. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 11:15 a.m. — 11:45 a.m.
This program is intended for toddlers (ages two to three) along with their caregiver. Registration begins 2 weeks prior to the event.

Adult Open Studio: Painting. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, 5:30 p.m.—7:30 p.m.
Join us for Adult Open Studio! This program is a self-guided exploration of painting through a variety of materials. We will provide some materials, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. We will learn, practice, and share basic painting techniques and freely explore the medium of painting in a comfortable group environment. Walk-ins welcome any time during Open Studio. A staff member or volunteer will be present to guide any beginners. Open to all skill levels.

Creative Writing Workshop - NaNoWriMo Prep. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, 6:00 p.m. — 7:45 p.m.
Have you always wanted to write a novel but never knew where to start? NaNoWriMo is a writing event held every November where writers from around the country attempt to write a novel in a month. This workshop is designed to prep any writer, first-time or veteran, for what they will need to brainstorm and plot an idea for the event, as well as organize a writing schedule to take on the challenge. Join a writing community that will encourage you to tell your story!

Tabletop Times. Thursday, October 27, 2022, 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
For veterans of tabletop RPGs and newcomers alike, we'll be playing weekly games of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition at the Starkey Ranch TLC! You can come with a newly forged character or build one from scratch. Drop in and out whenever you want; the adventures are never-ending!
Recommended ages are between 10 - 17. Recommended party size is 3-4 players, but a hard cap will be placed at 6.

Charity Sewing for Beginners. Saturday, October 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
Join us as we make burp cloths and bibs for the Healthy Start Coalition of Pasco County. All materials will be provided. Beginning sewers will practice using a pattern, marking, cutting, sewing on a machine, turning and topstitching. This class is for ages 9 years and older.

Kids Open Studio: Painting. Saturday, October 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
Join us the last Saturday of every month for Painting Open Studio! You may register for 1 of 2 sessions: 10am-11am or 11am-12pm. Wet paintings can be picked up after the program. We will supply all materials - all you have to do is bring your creativity -- and be sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting a little messy! Open to all ages.

Medicare Basics with SHINE. Monday, October 24, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco & Pinellas. Specially trained volunteers can assist you with your Medicare, Medicaid, and Health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information.
All SHINE services are free, unbiased and confidential.

Join us on the last Tuesday of the month for Family Game Night at Centennial Park Library. The whole family can choose a board/card game from our catalog and play inside the library.
