Novels on Tap. Sunday, September 18, 2022, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Calling all adults (21 and older)! Spend your Sunday afternoon with us at the Wicked Pour, a taproom located in Odessa. There we'll be hosting our book club, Novels on Tap. This month’s selection is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings written by Maya Angelou.

This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s). Registration begins 2 weeks prior to the program.

This program is intended for toddlers (ages two to three) along with their caregiver. Registration begins 2 weeks prior to the event.

Homeschool Sewing for Beginners. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.
Join us to create a carpenter's apron- useful for sewing, crafting, gardening, etc. All supplies will be provided. This class is for beginning sewers. We will be practicing measuring, cutting, and using basic sewing tools. Sewing machines will be utilized for this project.
This class is for ages 9 years and older. Safety and Waiver forms are required. A guardian /parent must complete the form for anyone under the age of 18. Forms can be picked up at the Service Desk before the class.

Join us the last Saturday of every month for Painting Open Studio! You may register for 1 of 2 sessions: 10am-11am or 11am-12pm. Wet paintings can be picked up after the program. We will supply all materials - all you have to do is bring your creativity -- and be sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting a little messy! Open to all ages.

Write Your First Novel. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, 5:30 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Designed specifically for the first-time novelist, this in-depth, 4-week course will take you from developing ideas for your story to plotting, character development, pacing, dialogue, point-of-view, and more. The course also covers the next steps after your first draft is complete: Editing/proofreading, traditional vs. self-publishing, and marketing your book. Taught by award-winning local author, and library staffer, Robert Harrison will inspire you to start – and finish – that novel you’ve always wanted to write, and publish it! The Exploring Movement and Meditation class will blend yoga, Pilates, calisthenics, and mediation. Please bring two light weights (2-5 pounds) and a yoga mat.  If you don't have these items, you can bring a towel/blanket and two water bottles.

Yoga for Stress Relief at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex. Monday, September 19, 2022, 6:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m.
Join us at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex for this yoga class. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice. Ongoing classes will enable participants to develop their practice at an appropriate gradual pace.

The Wesley Chapel Lions Sight Program is offering free vision screenings for Pasco County Residents who cannot afford eye care. Diabetes screening is also provided. To qualify, please bring the following:

3. Social Security Card
