Cultivating Calm and Connection - Meditation Group. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, 6:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Looking for happiness? Buddhist psychiatrist Mark Epstein says, "Happiness comes from letting go." Find out how meditation can help you let go and experience more balance between being and doing. This month we will discuss Epstein's book Going to Pieces Without Falling Apart: A Buddhist Perspective on Wholeness. It is available as a digital audiobook on Hoopla. We will also meditate together.
Everyone is invited to join our meditation group. No experience necessary. Each month we will focus on an aspect of mindfulness, discuss our monthly book selection, and meditate together.

Lego Open Build: Ocean of Possibilities. Saturday, June 18, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
Join us two Saturdays a month this summer from 10am-12pm for a special ocean themed Lego Open Build! Try your hand at building marine animals, or even an underwater scene! This series will be ongoing so participants can work on their creations throughout the summer in each session. Each participant ages 4-12 will have the opportunity to enter their piece into a Lego Art Exhibition at the end of the summer. Summer Solstice Flower Crowns. Saturday, June 18, 2022, 2:00 p.m. — 3:30 p.m.
Celebrate midsummer by making your own flower crown! You'll be prepared for summer solstice & any day with a fun circlet of flowers to wear. Learn how to put together flower crowns whether it be a cascade of flowers or something more simple. If you like earthy, fairy, princess type crafts & want to make something festive this is the workshop for you! This program is in partnership with the Pasco Fine Arts Council. Recommended for ages 10+.

Jr. Master Gardener Summer Program. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service is offering a Jr. Master Gardener Youth Education series starting June 14, 2022. One session will be taught each Tuesday through July 26, 2022. A secondary registration with 4-H Online will be required to secure your child’s spot. Upon class registration and payment, you will receive further instructions concerning the secondary registration. Each session will run from 10:00a.m.-12:30p.m. at the Hudson Library. Cost for the program, including all activity materials, instruction, and books is $60/child.

Medicare Basics with SHINE provides an overview of the different parts of Medicare including Parts A, B, C, D, Medigap, and available financial assistance. SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco & Pinellas. Specially trained volunteers can assist you with your Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information. SHINE services are free, unbiased, and confidential.

This class is for anyone 9 years or older with minimal sewing experience. Participants will complete a project to practice the skills learned in the first class: threading a machine, filling a bobbin, sewing as well as cutting and ironing. They will use basic sewing tools.
