Ukulele Basics for Homeschoolers. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
Attention, homeschoolers! Ever wanted to make beautiful music with a ukulele? If so, you can learn the basics during our hands-on workshop with Candy Otte, of the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society. The fun doesn't stop there, though. Click here to reserve a ukulele to play at home later.

Sewing for Beginners. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, 10:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
This class is for youth between the ages of 9-18 years with minimal sewing experience. Participants will complete a sewed card to practice the skills learned in the other classes: threading a machine, filling a bobbin, sewing, backstitching. They will use basic sewing tools.
Registration as well as both safety and waiver forms are required. If you have taken a previous Makerspace class your safety and waiver forms will be attached to your library card account. If you have not completed the forms, you can do so anytime at the information desk or before the class.
The same project will be offered at 10 AM and 4 PM on May 18th and 10 AM May 28. Please sign up for just one of the classes.

What does it mean to feel truly alive? Find out by joining us for this month's book discussion of Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig. This book is available as a digital audiobook on Hoopla. We will also meditate together.

Yoga for Stress Relief at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex. Monday, May 16, 2022, 6:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Join us at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex for this yoga class. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. Movin' & Groovin’. Wednesday, May 18, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Join our certified instructor, Diana, for this introductory, low-intensity dance workout class.  The class focuses on having BIG FUN while building cardio endurance and burning calories.  Start with simple dance moves (sitting is an option), then build into more complex sequences.  Class size is limited.  Weekly registration is required either online or by phone.  Registration begins each Thursday prior to the next week's class.

Read, sing, dance and more with your little learners (ages 2-5) in this fun, interactive storytime!  Space is limited; however, registration is not required.
