Join us Monday, July 23rd at 7 pm for our program “How an Illinois Music Store Helped Win the Civil War.” Chicago-based music publishing firm Root & Cady rose to prominence just before the Civil War, providing the Union with some of its most popular and meaningful patriotic anthems. Their songs shaped how both soldiers and civilians viewed the war effort. This program will be presented by Christian McWhirter, a research historian at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.

Join Jon Burgmann from Burgmann Insurance Group Sunday, July 29th at 3 pm for Medicare Q&A. Jon will field your questions for the coming Medicare open enrollment period. The Edwardsville Public Library will be closed Wednesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Regular library hours will resume Thursday, July 5th. Have a good holiday!
