STRIKE UP THE BAND
HEAT UP YOUR KITCHEN

Hopefully by July 12th, the temperature won’t be as hot as it has been in June.   That’s the night the ELFs provide the refreshments at the concession stand.  So maybe you won’t be heating up your kitchen too much to cook up some delicious “goodies” for us to sell.  Remember to package the items for sale individually and deliver them to the library early that day or by 6:00 at night.  If you want to help sell, sign up in Carnegie’s.
We have a reputation for providing “good stuff” so select your best dessert recipe.

WHERE HAS OUR MONEY GONE?

In 2017 we spent $11,749.53 to provide lots of extras for the library – items not covered in the library budget.  Some of them were:

Personal Hygiene Kits (given out as needed)
Adult & Children’s Summer Reading Program
Kick-off Bubble Bus & Ice Cream Truck
   Weekly program prizes
   Kindermusik
Poinsettias at Christmas for the library
30 new chairs for the Conference Room
T-shirts for staff (advertising EPL)
Microwave for staff lunchroom
Holiday party for staff
ELF banner (use at Goshen Mkt & Band)
Photo contest prizes
ELF member night event

So far in 2018 we have provided $ for:

Staff holiday party
Winter reading prizes
Helium tank & balloons (Natl Lib Wk)
Children Summer Reading program
  Kick-off Bubble Bus
  Face Painting & Balloon Artist

As the summer continues, we’ll be paying for the rest of the summer reading programs for children.  We’re also sponsoring prizes for the adult reading program.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM?

Memberships:
  VIP 52 Family 11 & Individual 22
Band Concert concession stand
Daily sales in Carnegie’s
Holiday gift-wrapping donations
Special children’s book sales
Special pricing earned in ELF storage room by selling more valuable books to special companies
This all adds up and enables us to provide lots of extras for the library.  Thanks for your contributions and help.
