COME GATHER TOGETHER
Come join your fellow ELFs at a Friday night, after-hours, get together on November 17 from 6:30-8:30. There will be hors-d’eourves’ provided by A Catered AFFAIR followed by special surprise entertainment. You’ll soon receive your special invitation in the mail. RSVP by November 10th. Bring your card with you for a chance at a prize. Come meet and greet all the ELFs you seldom see.
WHAT’S COMING IN THE FUTURE?
November is the month to bring food items for the Glen Ed Pantry. Exchange your items for a free regularly priced book from Carnegie’s. A box will be available for your donations. Hygiene items are always needed.
Then in December you can donate items for the Metro East Humane society. They can use paper towels, cleaning items, old towels, in addition to canned and bagged foods.
CHILDREN’S BOOK SALE will also start in November in the rotunda. November 20-December 8th. Specially priced children’s books will be available for early Christmas- shopping parents and grandparents. Real bargains!
CHRISTMAS BOOKS and small gift items like journals will be on display after Thanksgiving, beginning Nov. 23rd – while they last.
December will also have gift wrapping available. The dates are Saturday 12/9 from 12-4; Thursday, 12/14 from 2-6; and Saturday 12/16 from 12-4. You can have your packages wrapped nicely for free (but we will accept any monetary donations for this service).
WHAT HAS YOUR DUES MONEY DONE LATELY?
Most recently the ELFs provided the prize money for the Photo Contest being held from October 2 through November 1st. $680 was given to provide 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes in 6 categories, plus 2 patron picks and thank-yous to the judges.
