July 12th is the 200th birth anniversary of Henry David Thoreau! Born in 1817, Thoreau was an American teacher, author, and philosopher. He was a major figure of the transcendentalism movement. Join us for Welcome to Scale Modeling on Wednesday, July 19 from 7:00-8:30 PM. Rick Keasey from the Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society will introduce us to the world of plastic scale modeling. Rick will go over basic information and supplies needed to get started in addition to more advanced techniques in scale model building. No registration is required.
