Join us for our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party on Wednesday, May 31st from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the City Park. Enjoy music and bubbles with “The Bubble Bus,” check out the Edwardsville Library Friends Book Sale, make a design on a banner for the library, and get a free ice cream treat (adults too!) for joining the summer reading club! We have reading programs for both youth and adults, so make sure to sign up while you’re here!

 

Do you love movies? Join us for our Movie Matinees every second Thursday of the month, June through August. Movie Matinees start at noon in our meeting room.  Check with the Library for movie titles; we are unable to publish them due to our licensing agreement. The next matinee on Thursday, June 8th stars Stewart Granger, who plays a roguish ne'er-do-well masquerading as an actor to avenge a friend's death at the hands of a master fencer. This 1952 film is noteworthy for its long, climactic sword-fight scene.
