Our Youth & Adult Summer Reading Programs are in full swing: Even if you missed the kick-off party, there’s still plenty of time to pick up your log sheet to earn tickets for reading this summer!  Tickets give you a chance to win prizes – you can earn tickets for reading through July 26th (Adults) and July 31st (Kids).  Come join the fun!

Rosetta Stone Language Learning: Your Edwardsville Public Library card now gives you access to Rosetta Stone remotely. Start learning a foreign language today!  Check out our website to get started: www.edwardsvillelibrary.org.

Beat the Heat on Wednesday, July 1st – an air-conditioned Digital Bookmobile (sponsored by Overdrive) will be parked outside the library from 12 – 6 pm!  Edwardsville library cardholders (and other local Overdrive consortia library cardholders) can learn how to borrow digital books from the Library.  Experts will give instructions and you can learn how to borrow e-books and e-audio books on various devices.

New Adult Movie Group at the Library:  We’ve had so much success over the years with our adult movie matinees (hosted by Wildey historian Joan Evers), that our Adult Services Librarian, Jacob D., and our resident film buff, David R., have teamed up to offer the “Deep Dish Movie Club:” Adults will view movies in our meeting room at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays (June 17 / July 15 / August 19).  Pizza and drinks will be provided.  Check with the library for movie titles – a variety of a different flavor than our daily matinees.  Should be a treat!

Book Discussion Group revived:  Join us for lively conversation and refreshments on the 4th Thursday of each month from 7-8 pm.  June 25th The Room by Jonas Karlsson / July 23rd Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel / August 27th The Humans by Matt Haig.
