"READ ALL ABOUT IT"

A Note from Brian

We are cooking! Lots to talk about this month. Nancy, on our sales staff, had her last day last Friday. She is moving to another state to be closer to her family. We wish her the best and appreciate all her hard work. With that said, we filled her position this Monday. Sandra will be starting to work with us at the end of the month. Julie and Sandra have worked together in the past and Julie has ensured us that she is a top notch salesperson. We are very excited to have her on board.

DearReader.com and Reading House LLC will be getting a full make over! We have hired a marketing firm to refresh all our websites and all our marketing supplies. We also will be building an app that can be downloaded on any device for the Online Line Book Clubs. This should all be done in the next 60 days.

As you can see we have been very busy and look forward to all the new changes.

POST THIS

The 11th annual Write a Dear Reader contest launches on Monday, September 14 and Suzanne would like your help to promote it. Do you know a place that you could post the contest on the web—maybe a social media site or a blog? I’m sure we all know someone that would love to be included in the running for $200! Maybe we can even pick up some new book club readers along the way. The details of the contest, along with prizes, guidelines and past winners can be found here: http://www.dearreader.com/contest2015/index.html
Winner’s entries will run starting November 9th

GETTING SOCIAL

Susan sent us some pictures from her daughter Meghan’s summer adventures along with a couple of fun ones of Sue (sort of…)

Mary shared some scary neighborhood photos of the aftermath of 3 category 4 hurricanes out in the Pacific. 200,000 people with no power. Restaurants, stores--all businesses were shut down for miles. Things are finally back to normal.

Oh…and let’s not forget Bob Beecher, oops! I mean Mrs. Whackamore. Suzanne created a Back to School Family dinner that won’t soon be forgotten. Click the link to read her column and see the photos: www.dearreader.typepad.com/dear/2015/08/dear-reader-column-08-24-15.html

IT'S "HAT" TIME AGAIN

Mark your calendars! Tell your friends! Suzanne is running her 2nd annual Vintage Hat Party November 5-7 in Sarasota. There will be more information about it in the October newsletter. Pictured is a 1930’s hat that will be on display at the party.

Let’s talk again next month!     Tina Tine (Company News Reporter)
