Support the Marion E. and Norman H. Maynard Bucyrus Public Library Fund this Giving Tuesday and make your donation count with matching funds! 


Winter Reading Challenge

Adults, track your reading during these cold winter months! Come to the library or visit our website starting December 2 and receive a bookmark. Every time you finish 3 books, you will receive an entry for the grand prize! You may enter a total of 5 times.Turn in bookmarks at the library each time you complete one.


Polar Express Storywalk

Enjoy a holiday storywalk on Saturday, December 7 in downtown Bucyrus during Winter Wonderfest 2019! Stop in to local businesses and explore the magic of the Polar Express. Each reader will receive a map of participating locations to check off throughout their journey, ending at BPL for a sweet treat and holiday keepsake. This mobile learning experience is sponsored by United Way's Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative.


Friends of the Library Holiday Book Sale

Choose from a large collection of gently used books, both fiction and nonfiction. Large print, paperbacks, softcover and hardcover books will be for sale for a donation. All proceeds benefit library programming throughout the year.

Adult Crafting - November 18 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Every Monday: Coloring for Relaxation at 4:00 pm

Every Monday and Friday: Yoga at 4:30 pm

Every Tuesday except December 24 and 31: Chess Club from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Every Thursday: Sit and Stitch at 1:00 p.m.

Teen Craft Times are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. - no teen craft times during teen programs or after December 19.

Music, Movement, and More will return for Winter Session in January.

Story Time: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. until December 6​

The library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Happy Holidays!

Did you know that the library provides several free resources for you? This month's featured library resource is Burbio, which is a community calendar that you can  customize and access through a website and app, and receive emails of your feed .
