Un-Valentine's Day Party

Join us on Thursday, February 13, from 3 to 5 p.m., as we celebrate Un-Valentine’s Day in Rodman Library Auditorium. We’ll be working with assorted crafts and playing Minute-To-Win-It themed games. While you’re working on your crafts, a Valentine’s related movie will be playing and a movie game called “Spot the Mustache” will be ongoing. You’ll have to come to the library to learn more about this game – and to win a prize.

Teen Writing Club

The Teen Writing Club now meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesdays of the month. The next meetings are scheduled for February 12 & 26, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at Rodman Library. For ages 12-18, the purpose of this group is to meet with fellow teen writers to work on writing exercises and hone skills.

Any teen can join. Share work with the group if desired. No registration is needed. For more information, call the Main Library at 330-821-2665, ext. 213.

Teen Advisory

Teens, ages 12-18 – We Want You! Help us decide what kind of programs we will have for our teen patrons. Those teens interested in having their voices heard, come to Rodman Main Auditorium on Monday, February 17, from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

The Teen Advisory will meet on the third Monday of each month to help decide teen programming at the Library. This is a great opportunity for teens looking to do community service.  For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 214.

Video Game League

Teens, join us in the Main Auditorium every 4^th Thursday of the month from February through December at 3 p.m., for the RPL Gaming League. Teens will compete in a series of monthly tournaments in which they will accumulate points throughout the year. The top 3 point earners will win big prizes. The winner will get their name added to a plaque that will hang in the Teen Spot. A different game will be played each month with the winner of the monthly tournament receiving a prize.

The first month’s game to be played will be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Switch. It will consist of double elimination, best two of three, pick your characters and Random Omega stage. This event is free and open to all teens, ages 12-18. Snacks will be available. No registration is needed. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 211.

Ongoing Teen Programs at Rodman Public Library

Anime Club - Meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL's big screen.

Teen Video Gaming Days, ages 13-18 - Meets every other Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., in the Main Auditorium. Play games on the Xbox One and 360, PS3 &4, and Nintendo Wii & WiiU. Rated “E” for Everyone; “T” for Teens. The program is in partnership with Synergy Alliance.
