Chopped Culinary Challenge for Teens

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join us in the Main Auditorium on Tuesday, November 20, from 3 to 5 p.m., for the Library’s “Chopped” culinary program.

Just like the show of the same name, this event will be divided into three courses: appetizer, main course, and dessert. In each round, teens will be given several ingredients that must be incorporated into the specified course. Teens will also have the full use of the Rodman Chopped Pantry to complete their dish. Participants will work in teams of three or four to complete each round. A panel of three persons will then judge the round.

Limited to 24 participants, so registration is required. Stop by the Reference Desk or call 330-821-2665, ext. 211, to register. This program is supported by the Friends of Rodman Library.

Teen After-Hours Nerf Challenge

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join us at the Main Auditorium on Thursday, November 29, from 5:15 to 7 p.m., for an after-hours, Nerf Challenge event. Teens are allowed to bring their Nerf weapons that follow the guidelines of the program.

Guidelines include: Nerf weapons must be original colors (no paint or tape can obscure Nerf markings), the tips of the Nerf weapons cannot be tampered with in any manner, and all Nerf weapons will be tested before play. We reserve the right to ban any Nerf weapons deemed unacceptable. There will be a limited number of Nerf weapons on hand to use as well. No registration is needed.
