Teen Magic, Learn & Play Tournament at RPL

All teens, ages 12-18, gather your friends and come to the Rodman Public Library on Thursday, September 20, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The library will host a “Magic, Learn, and Play Tournament” card game afternoon just for teens in the Main Auditorium. Attendees will be taught the basics of the card game, Magic the Gathering. All teens will leave with a few Magic cards to start their own collection. For experienced players, a casual tournament will be offered to test your latest decks (stress casual). Each round will be 1 vs.1, best 2 out of 3. The winner and runner-up of the tournament will walk away with additional Magic cards as a prize. Snacks will be offered. This is a free event. No reservations are needed. Teen Writing Club Extended

Due to its popularity, Teen Writing Club will continue meeting on every other Wednesday of the month (go to www.rodmanlibrary.com/calendar for specific dates). For ages 12-18, the purpose of this group is to meet with fellow teen writers to work on writing exercises and hone skills. Any teen can join. Share work with the group if desired. Teen After Hours Nerf Challenge

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join us at the Main Auditorium on Thursday, September 13, from 5:15 to 7 p.m., for an after-hours, Nerf Challenge event. Teens are allowed to bring their Nerf weapons that follow the guidelines of the program. Guidelines include: Nerf weapons must be original colors (no paint or tape can obscure Nerf markings), the tips of the Nerf weapons cannot be tampered with in any manner, and all Nerf weapons will be tested before play. We reserve the right to ban any Nerf weapons deemed unacceptable. There will be a limited number of Nerf weapons on hand to use as well. No registration is needed. Teen Movie Premiere

All teens, ages 13-18, are invited to see Avengers: Infinity War, a free movie on RPL’s big screen in the auditorium on Tuesday, September 4, at 5:30 p.m. A team of superheroes and their allies, who protect earth from hostile actions, must now face an opponent who collects artifacts of incredible power and uses them to impose his evil will. Gaming Un-Plugged for Teens, ages 12-18 - Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Anime Club for Teens, ages 13-18 – Meets the last Tuesday of the month from 3:30-5:30 p.m., in the Main Auditorium.
