Movie Premiere for Teens

All teens, ages 13-18, are invited to see a free movie on RPL’s big screen in the auditorium on Tuesday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m. A former pilot reunites with his estranged adopted sister to lead a new generation of pilots who are using specialized weapons in the fight against giant sea monsters aided by menacing robots from earth. Teen After-Hours Nerf Challenge

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join us at the Main Auditorium on Thursday, July 12, from 5:15 to 7 p.m., for an after-hours, Nerf Challenge event. Teens are allowed to bring their Nerf weapons that follow the guidelines of the program. Guidelines include: Nerf weapons must be original colors (no paint or tape can obscure Nerf markings), the tips of the Nerf weapons cannot be tampered with in any manner, and all Nerf weapons will be tested before play. We reserve the right to ban any Nerf weapons deemed unacceptable. There will be a limited number of Nerf weapons on hand to use as well. No registration is needed. Teen Writing Club

A Teen Writing Club, for ages 12-18, is meeting for the summer on every other Wednesday at Rodman Library. The meeting dates for July are Wednesdays, July 11 & 25, from 3 to 4 p.m., and will continue until the end of August. The purpose of this group is to give teens a place to meet with fellow writers to work on writing exercises, to share about what they are writing (and reading), and to hone their writing skills. Any teen who is interested in writing can join, whether they have written a lot or are just getting started. There will be opportunities to share work with the group, but sharing is not a requirement to come. No registration is needed. For more information, call the Main Library at 330-821-2665, ext. 213.

Anime Club for Teens, ages 13-18 – Meets the last Tuesday of the month from 3:30-5:30 p.m., in the Main Auditorium.

Teen Writers' Group, ages 12-18 - Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in the Alliance Room.

Teen Advisory, ages 12-18 - Meets the 3rd Monday of the month from 3:30-5:00 p.m., in the Main Auditorium.
