Summer Reading Program for All Ages

“Libraries Rock” is the theme of Rodman Public Library’s 2018 Adult, Teens, and Children’s Summer Reading Program that begins on Tuesday, May 29, and runs through Saturday, July 28. The adult program is open to ages 18 and older. Adults may sign up for Summer Reading at the front desk of the Main or Branch Libraries and Bookmobile. One check out transaction per day of any library material qualifies for one ticket to be entered into a weekly drawing. One gift card (purchased from Alliance area local businesses) will be awarded to the week’s winner. A new weekly drawing starts over every week. The weekly prizes are provided courtesy of the Friends of Rodman Public Library.

The Summer Reading Program for children and teens at Rodman Library will run concurrently with the adult program. There will be programs, prizes, hands-on creative opportunities and special events for both age groups. Participants of the children’s Summer Reading Program may sign up at the front desk of the Main Children’s Department, the Branch Library, or Bookmobile. Teens may sign up by going online  at www.rodmanlibrary.com/srp

BOOK F.E.A.S.T. (FUN, EATS, AND STORIES, TOO)

Join us at Rodman Public Library every Thursday, May 31 through July 19, from noon to 1:00 p.m. for BOOK F.E.A.S.T.

This program, for children (ages 3 and up) and their families, replaces the Main Library’s Thursday morning Storytime program. The hour-long sessions will highlight 2018’s musical theme, “Libraries Rock!” Most weeks will include a special guest performance that you won’t want to miss!

Free hot lunches will be served at 11:45 a.m. for those who are 18 years and under as part of the Summer Food Service Program through the Alliance City Schools beginning May 31. Participants are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch/beverage. This program is supported by the Friends of Rodman Library. No registration is required.
