Teen Nerf Night Set For Nov. 4

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to attend the November Nerf Night from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4. Teens should start to assemble in the Main Library auditorium at 5:15 p.m. for the after-hours event. Participants may bring in their own Nerf weapons or use some provided by the library. Teen Chopped Returns Nov. 9

Rodman Public Library has just the thing for teens with some culinary chops who want to show off their skills. The popular Teen Chopped makes its return to the RPL Main Auditorium from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

Teen Gaming

Area teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library every other Thursday to play their favorite video games on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 with Kinect, Playstation 3 & 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii & WiiU. The next sessions will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 18.  Visitors will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from “E” for Everyone, up to “T” for Teen level, will be offered. Along with the video games, the iPad and Nook are available to teens. Teen Writing

Creative ideas flowing? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday each month at 3:30 p.m. in computer lab at the Main Library. The next meeting is Nov. 10. (No meeting will be held on Nov. 24 due to the library closing at noon that day in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.) Teen Book Club

Are you a teen who loves to read? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Book Club that meets on the third Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. The next meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 15, and the selected title will be Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston. Teen Anime Club

All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on the last Tuesday of each month for Teen Anime Club. The next session will be Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 3:00 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL’s big screen. Coming In December

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7
Teen Hot Pots Ornament Decorating 
Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to the Main Library on Dec. 7 at 3:00 p.m. to paint a ceramic ornament provided by Hot Pots. The ornament will be processed at Hot Pots and will be available for pickup at the library or Hot Pots in time for Christmas. The event is free compliments of the Friends of Rodman Library. Registration is required.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14
Strategy Gaming
Strategy gaming for the whole family will be held Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Play card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering or a variety of board games. A new game will also be featured each month for visitors to learn new games. Come play and make new friends.
