Community Ice Carving Kicks Off Winterfest
Saturday, January 30, Noon to 3:00

Yes, we're still on! Camden’s Winterfest wonderland week kicks off tomorrow in the Library's Amphitheatre and Harbor Park. Festivities in the Amphitheatre on January 30 include ice carving, hot food, and music from noon to 3:00 outdoors, and live music from All That Jazz, face painting, winter storytime, and kids crafts indoors, all hosted by the Camden Public Library. The ice carving celebration has been a community tradition for fifteen years now.

At the same time, in Harbor Park, the Snow Bowl will offer freestyle boarding and skiing on terrain park elements and on snow that was man-made and groomed right in the Park. The Polar Plunge is at 2:30 pm at the harbor’s edge in Harbor Park, hosted by Coastal Mountains Land Trust.

Although the SNOW carving competition, which was to have been held on the Village Green, has been postponed, the weather looks terrific for ICE carving, spectating, skiing, and perhaps even a dip in the harbor. Come out for a great day outdoors!
