Need Access to the Internet?

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Comcast is offering two months free to new Internet Essentials customers in response to recent and anticipated emergency measures associated with COVID-19. Learn more here

Also, the Library will keep WIFI access on 24/7 and you can use it while remaining outside the building.

Wifi passwords: The name of the wifi will be the password.

Need a library card to access our online resources?

Want to access our databases and streaming services but do not have a Matteson Area Public Library Card? In this time of need we are offering a free digital card to residents that would like to access our services. You must have an email address for this service. Fill out the form and if you are approved you will be contacted by a Matteson Area Public Library staff member.

  • My materials are due. Will I get charged fines? No, you will not get charged fines. All due dates have been changed to May 1. Also, all billing and collections will be suspended during this time.

  • Should I return my materials now? No, please keep your materials until after we reopen. The dropbox is closed.

  • I had materials on hold and/or ready for pick-up. Can I pick those up? All holds are suspended effective immediately. When we reopen, holds will be available for pick up for seven (7) days.

  • Can I reserve/place a hold on materials? Any requests for materials will be postponed until we reopen.

  • I have materials to donate. Can I drop them off? No, please keep your donations until the Library reopens and confirms that donations are ok.

We strongly urge everyday prevention measures like limiting social contact when sick, frequent hand washing, and covering coughs and sneezes prevent the spread of colds, flus, and all other communicable diseases.
