How Summer Reading 2019 Works:

  • Open to Kids and Teens from Birth through Entering 12th Grade
  • No charge to participate and enjoy fun activities and prizes.
  • Pick up reading logs at the Youth Services Desk.  
  • Read library books, fill out your reading log, and return your log on every visit between June 1st and August 1st. The reading logs explain how prizes will work.
  • Register for classes in person, by phone, on our website, or through email links below.  You'll find all the library's contact information at the top of this email.
    Programs requiring registration are not open to camps, daycares, or school groups due to space constraints.

Cosplay Club

Entering 6th to 12th Grades

All sessions of Cosplay Club are full.

Always wanted to make your own cosplay, but don't know where to start? Well you're in luck! Come learn how to make simple props and outfit designs for your cosplay.

 

Kindergarten Camp

Kids Entering Kindergarten in the Fall
Mondays, 7/8-7/22 
Session 1: from 10-11 AM 

Session 2: from 6:30-7:30 PM 
All sessions of Kindergarten Camp are full.

This 6 session series will help kids get a jumpstart on some of the skills they will need as they enter Kindergarten.  Each child will receive a folder full of activities and tips for parents.

Musical Theatre for Minis: Melodious Minis

Ages 0-2
Tuesdays, 6/11-7/23 from 10-10:45 AM

Your little superstar will experience a new musical theater show every week through the lens of S.T.E.M. based activities, music, movement, and crafts.  Whether your child is an awe-inspiring actor, a vivacious vocalist, or simply poised to play, Musical Theater for Minis will be sure to provide them with a good time, because every class is showtime!

 

Teen Sewing: Pajama Pants

Entering 6th to 12th Grades
Session 2: Tuesdays, 7/2-7/23 from 6-8 PM 
All sessions of Teen Sewing are full.

Learn to sew a pair of pajama pants. Participants will provide their own fabric and some basic sewing supplies.  Students will receive a supply list when they register or get the supply list here.

Andrew the Collie: Certified Therapy Dog

All Ages  
Wednesdays

Andrew also visits at the same time on Fridays. 
No registration required.

Andrew is a certified therapy dog.  He is very gentle and loves meeting kids, especially when they read to him.  Get to know Andrew and build your reading skills at the same time.

 

Family Movie Night

All Ages Welcome (Kids under 10 must attend with an adult.)
Wednesdays from 6-8 PM 
No registration required.

7/24: Wonder Park

Join us for some interactive movie fun!  Each attendee will be given a bag of goodies and instructions. Then, we will play along and interact with each movie.  Visit the library for a complete listing of movies, dates, and times.

Junior Makers

Slime, robots and more, oh my!  Join us for Junior Makers.  Inspired by STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) this class gives students achance to make slime, learn coding, and hve fun with others.

Read, create, explore - that's Book Scouts Everyone is welcome, but only members can earn badges.  New members are always welcome.  Each week we will have a different activity such as games, crafts, and more.
