Cook-A-Book

Grades: K - 5th
Saturday, 1/5 from 11 AM - 12 PM
No registration required.  

Join Ms. Vicki in this hands-on cooking class for kids.  Participants will whip up some yoummy fun recipes.

 

Storytime

Preschoolers Age: 3-5
Thursdays from 10 - 11 AM

No registration required.  

Bring your preschooler to this storytime full of songs, new books, and preschool fun. It is an excellent and fun opportunity for children to hear good stories and make friends.

 

Daycare Storytime

Ages: 0-5 (Home Daycare Students)
1st & 3rd Wednesdays from 10 - 11 AM
No registration required.  

Home Daycares can enjoy books, music, rhymes, and a whole host of educational toys and musical instruments. Don’t miss out on this fun educational experience.

 

Born To Read Storytime

Babies and Toddlers Ages: 0-2
Tuesdays 10 - 11 AM
No registration required. 

Story times for our littlest patrons are filled with rhymes, movement activities, songs, finger plays and books.

 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Reading Club

Age: Any Child Too Young for Kindergarten
OngoingEvent | Any Time The Library is Open

Register in Youth Services Department.

Reading to preschool aged children builds vocabulary, language skills, and helps prepare them with the skills needed for future school and life success.   
Participants will receive a reading log to record books read.  Rewards will be given for every 100 books read. Ask for your reading log at the Kids’ Room Desk.

Jr. Puppeteers

Grades: 4th - 6th
Tuesday, 1/29 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Professional Puppeteer Dave Herzog is back again to teach the kids how to perform the story "The Emperor's New Clothes" using hand puppets.  Students will perform the puppet show on the last day of class.

 

I Brother II Another

Boys Ages: 10 - 15 at the library
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30 PM

Boys Ages: 16 - 19 at Oakwood Community Center
Thursdays from 6:30 PM

No registration required.  

Mentors in this this program will provide positive programming for boys.  The program provides educational and recreation experiences through positive peer mentoring, life skills development, and positive social interaction.  Our hope is that participants will improve in their ability to make better decisions, inspire them to be strong, have a positive self image, and gain confidence.

 

Puppet Pals

Grades: 1st - 3rd
Saturday, 1/12 from 11 AM - 12 PM

Come have Mr. Joseph teach you how to play strategy games such as Chess, Settlers of Catan, and more.  Or if you already know how to play, simply challenge other players to a game!

 

Are you a Homeschooler or a Tutor?

We invite you to fill out our information forms.  
Homeschoolers: Your form will be used to keep you informed of library events that might interest your family.
Tutors: Your form will be used to provide information to library patrons who request to know about local area tutors.
