Summer Reading Club has Begun!

How Summer Reading Works:

  • Open to Kids and Teens from Birth through Entering 12th Grade
  • No charge to participate and enjoy fun activities and prizes.
  • Pick up reading logs at the Youth Services Desk or print them from our website.  Complete and return a reading log once each week.
  • Preschoolers: each weekly reading log earns a small prize.
  • School Age Kids & Teens: each weekly reading log earns $5 in "Lester Loot"
  • Earn more "Lester Loot" by coming to the events in this email.
  • Save your "Lester Loot" and spend it in our Prize Store later in the summer. 
  • Registration occurs weekly.  For example: on Monday 6/5 you will be able to register for activities happening between Monday 6/12 & Saturday 6/17.  On Monday 6/12 you can register for activities happening between Monday 6/19 & Saturday 6/24.  This pattern repeats during June & July.
  • Register in person, by phone, on our website, or through email links below.  You'll find all the library's contact information at the top of this email.
  • Programs requiring registration are not open to camps, daycares, or school groups due to space constraints.

dinner time entertainment.

Kevin Farris And The Infinite Possibilities

June 20 (Due to rain this program will be inside)

Designed for children under the age of five. This fun hands-on program will spark children's creativity, develop fine motor skills, provide recognition of shapes/colors and lay the foundation for future readers by increasing children's early literacy skills.


 

The Mousetrap Machine

June 27

Smarty Pants, with the help from audience members, will make the five simple machines – the wheel, lever, pulley, inclined plane and the screw, then put all five machines together to create a Mousetrap Machine made of giant balloons, that will catch a mouse without hurting him!

 

Pocket Circus

July 11

Pocket Circus is a show like no other. It’s a MAGIC show where fantasy and reality are both possible. Mr. Firu presents this show for the whole family. From beginning to end the audience actively participates in the show. Incredible things happen in the participants hands!! A dove appears from fire. Objects vanish in front of their eyes and other objects change their colors.

July 18

Jason Kollum, stilt walking and juggler, will be here for a fun, engaging, 100% interactive big family show for ALL ages of kids plus parents! There will be tons of energy, movement, audience participation, laughter and excitement! Join us for eye-popping balancing, juggling, and variety stunts!
 

Circus Boy

July 25

Circus Boy Bobby Hunt was a featured performer with the world famous Ringling Bros. circus, traveling the globe and entertaining audiences from all walks of life with his unforgettable brand of stunts and physical comedy. Come join the fun!
