This message is a reminder that the summer volunteer applications are due to be returned at the library by close of business on Monday, May 1st.

Would you like to volunteer at the Matteson library this summer?

Eligible Volunteers:
*Will be in 6th - 12th Grades in 2017-2018 school year
*Should live in Rich Township - Matteson residents will be preferred.

Why Volunteer?
*You will have the chance to help out your community while learning useful skills for future jobs. Most volunteers help at activities for kids and teens and/or preparing materials for library events.
*You only have to volunteer for a few hours each week (usually 2-5). There are volunteer opportunities on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.
*Volunteers will also be rewarded with a thank you party at the end of the summer.
*The library also has free air conditioning and wi-fi.

How to Apply:
*Get the application form from the Matteson library or print it here.
*Fill out the entire application. Please read every page of the application. In general, the more days and times a potential volunteer is available to help out, the more likely she or he is to be accepted into the program.)
*First time applicants must have the recommendation form (on the last page of the application) filled out by an adult who is not related to them.
*Completed applications must be returned to the library by Monday, May 1st.
