When Rosa Parks defiantly refuses to take a back seat, she sets into motion a tumultuous string of events centered around the 1955 bus boycott in Montgomery, Ala. Her courage and defiance inspired a young minister named Martin Luther King, Jr. and a group of other black leaders to organize the Montgomery bus boycott, one of the most successful non-violent protests in American History.
