Don't Miss Altadena Town Council's Safe Streets Committee Town Hall Meeting at the Library Tomorrow!

In response to the priority area of Mobility that was identified through the Altadena Library's Community Conversations , the Altadena Town Council has formed the Safe Streets (Traffic Safety & Mobility) Committee. Things are getting "rolling" this Saturday at 2:00pm in the Main Library's Community Room with a Town Hall Meeting packed full of interactive workshops, discussion, and a mapping project. On the agenda will be safe routes to schools, complete street design, multiuse trail projects, Route 88 transit to trails, the NextGen Bus Study, and more.

One of the leaders of this initiative is Town Council Member Dorothy Wong, who recently returned from a trip to Washington DC where she advocated for Open Space . Alongside her committee, she is passionate about taking action to make Altadena streets safe, inclusive, and healthy for walkers, hikers, drivers, bicyclists, horseback riders, and all members of our community, regardless of mode and ability. If you are interested in joining the dialogue about solutions to mobility and traffic safety issues in Altadena, meet Dorothy and her fellow movers and shakers at the Town Hall!

As we reflect on the accomplishments within the Library that have taken place over the past year since the Community Conversations launched, we are grateful to live in a community that values progress and growth. Many local organizations, action groups, and individuals have also accomplished big things in 2017, and we want to hear about it!

CLICK HERE to take a brief survey and brag a little (or a lot!) about all the good going on in your neighborhood or community organization.
