S is for "See You Saturday at Seed Library!"

This  Saturday, March 3, at 10:00am , Master Gardeners Jessica Yarger and Patricia Hasen will lead a Beginning Gardening presentation in the Community Room. Can't make the whole presentation? No problem! Stop by before noon and you can still check out seeds!


PLEASE NOTE - The Altadena Library District February Board of Trustees Meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 7 at 5:00pm.

An agenda with the items to be considered will be available no later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting and will be available at the Altadena Main Library, Bob Lucas Branch Library, and Altadena Community Center. Meeting minutes and agendas are also available electronically at .


Beauty Bites Beast Screening & Discussion

UNA Pasadena is sponsoring a screening of "Beauty Bites Beast" at the Main Library on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00pm , in honor of International Women's Day. The screening will be followed by a spirited Q&A with the film's director and co-producer Ellen Snortland and Ken Gruberman.

"Beauty Bites Beast" flips ideas about female helplessness, as women and other at-risk folks undertake the transformative experience of learning verbal, emotional and physical empowerment based self-defense. Learn more here:


A Stitch of Time Book Reading & Discussion

On Saturday, March 10, at 2:00pm , author Lauren Marks will ready from her memoir A Stitch of Time, an incredible first-person account of one woman's journey to regaining her language and identity after a brain aneurysm affects her ability to community.

A Q&A will immediately follow, facilitated by Khanisha Foster.



Adult Water Marbling Art at the Bob Lucas Branch

Arts and crafts aren't just for kids! Adults, the Bob Lucas Branch is offering an opportunity to dabble in the art of water marbling on  Friday, March 9, at 11:00am


3D Printer Open Hours at the Bob Lucas Branch

The Bob Lucas Branch's 3D printer is open to the public on Mondays from 11:00am to 1:00pm and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00pm . The 3D printer is available on a first come, first serve basis.
