You're Invited to our "Go Public" Screening and Discussion Panel with Film's Producers and PUSD Superintendent

Altadena Library District invites you to a screening of "GO PUBLIC: A Day in the Life of an American School District," a 90-minute video documentary of a single day in Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), on Monday, January 29, at 6:30pm.

In 2012, 50 directors and their small camera crews followed 50 individuals who attend, support and work in PUSD, a racially and economically diverse district with 28 public school campuses. Administrators, teachers, students, support staff and volunteers lead us on journeys that reveal their unique contributions in making a public school district function. "GO PUBLIC" is important because there is a national crisis of confidence surrounding public education. This film gives audiences a chance to see and hear the people living the public school experience.

Immediately following the screening will be a discussion panel with the film's producers Dawn O'Keeffe and James O'Keeffe and Superintendent Dr. Brian McDonald. We hope you can join us for this in-depth exploration of our local school district!
