New Tween Book/Movie Club Launches Next Week!

Get your tween (ages 10-12) to the Main Library on Tuesday, January 9 at 4:30pm for the Kick-Off Event of Pages & Popcorn, Altadena Library's brand new book and movie club! From sweet Harry Potter-themed treats to Hogwarts Sorting, this is a great opportunity for your child to meet new friends with whom they'll be exploring literary classics!

Throughout January and February, tweens will meet weekly to discuss their reading of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and, once they finish the book, will watch the movie version together! CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP YOUR CHILD


Unlock the Power of Your Story at the Storytelling Jam Workshop Series, Starting Next Week!

A new year is a new chance to refine your story. Master storyteller Lance Anderson is excited to guide participants through a special journey where they will develop both writing and public speaking skills. Save the Date - "Go Public" Screening & Panel with PUSD Superintendent - Monday, January 29 at 6:30pm

"Go Public" is a 90-minute documentary of an entire day in the Pasadena Unified School District that provides a window into the world of the PUSD, the many dedicated people, the myriad of opportunities and the complexity of effectively serving the needs of all students.

The panel discussion immediately following the screening will feature the film's producers James O'Keeffe, Dawn O'Keeffe, and PUSD Superintedent Dr. Brian McDonald.
