New Year, New Programs (a.k.a. New Opportunities for Discovery and Learning!)

As we approach the end of 2017, plans are in full swing for 2018 Library programming! Altadena Library's January calendar is filling up with favorite recurring events like our famous Second Saturday concerts, returning events like our Storytelling Jam workshop series, and brand new programs like our Seed Library presentations and 4x4 Art Workshops!

Story times will also return in the New Year for children of all ages! In addition, tweens (ages 10-12) will be able to enjoy the brand new Tween Pages & Popcorn book and movie club, starting in January.

Our Teen department is launching in the New Year with a new cooking club called The Nom Nom Group, weekly open hours for teens in the Library's FabLab, and educational workshops for teens as they apply for college.

The Bob Lucas Memorial Branch on Lincoln Avenue is also excited to ramp up their programming to serve their patrons in west Altadena! Bilingual citizenship classes, opportunities to share stories and poems, and more will launch February.

All of the above (and MORE) is listed on the Altadena Library website, online calendar, and our Facebook page! Check out our exciting events and mark your calendars – there is no limit to what you can learn at Altadena Library...
