On Friday, August 25 th , our Summer Reading Program will end on a high note with a night full of romance AND live music!  Close out the summer and start your very own love story at Altadena Library's Must Love Books, a Speed Dating Event Between the Stacks.

The evening will begin when doors open at 6:00pm for speed dating check-in. Be sure to stock up on some liquid courage before we begin; drinks will be available for purchase from Altadena Ale & Wine House. The speed dating will begin promptly at 6:15pm.

Please keep in mind that spaces are limited, so you must register ahead of time to particpate. We will do all we can to include all registrants, but due to space limitations and our goal to keep the event balanced for our participants, we may not be able to accept all registrants. Point is, register as soon as possible!

After the Speed Dating concludes, at 7:30pm we will open our doors to the public for our Summer Reading Grand Finale Concert featuring world-renowned performer El Twanguero and his talented band!

Considered by many as one of the best guitarists in the world, ElTwanguero invites all kinds of audiences to see and hear him perform. The "fire-breathing guitar hero" as he was dubbed by the U.S. press, launched his successful solo career two years ago after decades of accompanying Latin music giants such as Bunbury, Calamaro, El Cigala, and others. He has achieved major accomplishments in the last couple years, memorable albums such as his latest, Pachuco and Argentine Songbook (Warner Music), and has toured Spain, Mexico, and America from North to South and other parts of the world. El Twanguero has received excellent reviews and become an International Gibson and Bigsby artist.

We hope to see you Friday, August 25th -- Save the date and spread the word!
