The famous mouse from The New York Times No. 1 best-seller "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” will be appearing at the library to kick off the new fall story times and programs. Families will enjoy stories, crafts, fun surprises, and photo opportunities with the mouse.

An Afternoon with Beverly Lewis |
Best-selling inspirational author Beverly Lewis will talk about her newest book "The First Love," which will be released on Sept. 4. Lewis has written more than 80 books, many of which give an insider's view of Amish life. Attendees will be able to meet Lewis, and she will be signing her books. Barnes & Noble will sell a variety of her books at the event. Light refreshments will be available.

What's Cooking and Drumming at the Library |
Students will have an opportunity to learn heart-healthy cooking and food preparation. Participants will learn how small changes can make big differences for a family’s health and food budget. Students will sample and learn to prepare tasty and healthy foods to maximize nutrition. Also, students will have an opportunity to participate in cardio drumming. Food-related and exercise books will be available to check out.

The Model T Genius |
Alan Naldrett will talk about his book, Michigan's C. Harold Wills: The Genius Behind the Model T and the Wills Sainte Claire Automobile. One of the unsung heroes of the auto world, Wills designed the Model T when he worked as Henry Ford's right-hand man. Later, he founded his own company to produce the legendary Wills Sainte Claire. Model T owners are encouraged to bring their classic cars to the Willard Library parking lot for others to see after the author's talk.
