Actors Sigmund and Alex enter a mysterious old house to perform at a birthday party. They’re astonished to discover the party is for a baby monster! Thinking fast on their feet, they entertain with twists on traditional rhymes fit for a monster party. Students in sixth through 12th grades are invited to learn about the ancient art of henna, also known as Mehndi! Mehndi is a form of body art from ancient India, in which decorative designs are created on a person's body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant. The tattoos are temporary, but may last up to eight to 10 days. A permission form signed by a parent or guardian will be required to participate in this workshop. The permission slips will be available July 13 in the Teen Room.

Magic Carpet Theater will engage audiences in an interactive performance of stories including classics from Dr. Seuss, Maurice Sendak, and the Brothers Grimm with a positive message of caring and respect for others. Groups or organizations must register by calling 269-968-8166, ext. 518.

Nationally touring children's performer Laura Doherty acoustically rocks out during a lively concert which features her adorable puppet friends Jazzasaurus, Pinky the Fish, and Domingo the Flamingo!
