Catch a Wave Summer Reading Kick-off
|

Celebrate the beginning of summer, the love of reading, and the Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program at the Summer Reading Kick-off.
Meet some of the Battle Creek Battle Jacks and the team mascot at this fun baseball and carnival themed party. Enjoy music from a DJ, snack on cotton candy and Cracker Jacks, and play carnival games to earn prizes.

| Peeks Into the Past: Tales of Maple Street |
|
Take a virtual stroll in the Maple Street Historic District, comprised of three blocks along Capital Avenue Northeast between Fremont and Orchard streets. The district contains city's largest concentration of architecturally significant homes, built by the city's elite at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

| Father's Day Celebration |
Children may celebrate that special man in their lives--fathers, father-like figures, or mentors--at this drop-in Father’s Day program. Youngsters may create art and craft projects and enjoy Father’s Day themed activities with their special person. The program is geared for children in preschool and older, their fathers, and families. Participants may drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and noon.

| Read with Friends: "When Life Gives You Mangos" by Kereen Getten |

This family program allows parents and children to sit back and be swept away by a new book. A member of the Youth Services staff will read the first few chapters of the book on video then families may finish reading the book at home. The program is geared for students in grades three through five.
