Pa Lao: Natural Winter Wellness - Thursday, Oct 12th at 7:00 p.m.

Pa Lao is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and her talk will focus on the ways in which the colder months affect our bodies, and what we can do to help support those changes in order to avoid chronic illness.

Fiber Arts Social - Thursday, Oct 5th & 19th from 2:30-4:30 p.m.

The group welcomes anyone interested in knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross-stitch, and any other fiber art. Join us for learning, sharing, and socializing! Meets in the Community Room on the 5th and by the North Fireplace on the 19th.

Writers' Group - Friday, Oct 6th & 20th at 2:30 p.m.

We practice sharing, editing, and revising the writing submitted in the group. Anyone who would like to join is welcome! This group meets in the Upper Level Conference Room.

Computer Classes - Oct 12th & 17th from 2-4 p.m.

Internet Searching & Email will be taught on Thursday, October 12th, and Google Docs (a new class) will be taught on Tuesday, October 17th. Computer classes are $5/person/class and are held in the Upper Level Training Lab. Call 231-928-0257 to register. Registration is required.

LittleBits: Beginning Coding - Saturday, Oct 14th from 10:00-1:00 p.m.

LittleBits is a platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks. Join us in the Community Room to play with our beginning coding toys! This is open to 1st-5th graders from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and open to 6th graders and up from 11:30-1:00 p.m.

Teen Movie & Craft - Thursday, Oct 19th at 3:30 p.m.

We'll be showing Everything, Everything (Rated PG-13; 96 min) and we'll have a painted pumpkin craft available in the Community Room. Snacks will be provided!

Halloween Craft - Saturday, Oct 21st from 10:00-11:30 a.m.

We'll have a spooky craft in the Children's Department you can make and take home!

Daytime Book Group - Thursday, Oct 26th at 11:30 a.m.

This group will meet by the North Fireplace to discuss Kitchen Privileges by Mary Higgins Clark. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk prior to the meeting date.

Storytime - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays Sep 26th-Dec 14th

Preschool Storytime (for ages 3-5) takes place on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Toddler Storytime (for babies and toddlers up to age 3) takes place on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Department.

Afterschool Movie - Thursday, Oct 26th at 3:30 p.m.

We'll be showing a movie in the Children's Department after school, but we're not sure which one yet! Check back with us for more details. As always, refreshments will be served, and all are welcome!
