The Summer Reading Program Invites the Young and

Young at Heart

The Summit County Library kicks off the summer reading program, Build a Better World, for local children, teens and adults at all three library locations in the month of June. 

The first program starts this Saturday, June 3 with the teen kick-off party at the North Branch Library from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. A Guardian of the Galaxy theme will provide interactive screening of the movie with fun-filled snacks and crafts. That same day the South Branch Library teen kick-off party is from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm with an Escape Room: Library Edition theme. Players will solve a series of puzzles using clues and hints to complete the object

ives and escape. 

To participate in the teen reading program, pick up a goodie bag at the

 Main Library in Frisco, North Branch Library in Silverthorne or South Branch Library in Breckenridge.

Adults wanting to participate in the Summer Reading Program can pick up reading review sheets starting on Saturday, June 3 at all three library locations. Adults can read a book, write a review and turn in their sheet. 

The children’s summer reading program kicks off with help from Ann Lincoln on Tuesday, June 6 at the South Branch Library at 11 am; on Wednesday, June 7 at the North Branch Library at 10:30 am; and at the Main Library at 1 pm. Pick up a goodie bag and reading log at one of the three locations for more information on how to participate.
