Hiking Colorado: A Journey Presented by Maryann Gaug Tonight
The Friends of Summit County Library host the first Travel Slide Show today at the Blue River Room in the North Branch Library at 7 pm. “Hiking Colorado: A Journey” features spring, summer and fall hikes in the mountains of Colorado photographed and presented by Maryann Gaug.
“I mostly hiked alone, except for a few hikes where a shuttle was needed,” said Gaug. “I spent over 14 years hiking trails for the books,” she added. During these hikes Gaug described she found, “a lot of cool places in Colorado.” When asked what equipment she used to photograph her hikes Gaug shared, “I started out with slides, then a point-and-shoot digital, then a DSLR. The hiking guide required stills.”
