All three library locations in Frisco, Silverthorne and Breckenridge will be closed on Friday, November 11 in honor of Veteran's Day.  We will re-open on Saturday at all locations for our normal operating hours. 

The South Branch Teen Advisory Board meets on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 4 pm to 5 pm to plan upcoming events.  Join TAB to develop your leadership skills, earn community service hours and help create the library you want to see! We  want to hear your ideas. The board meets in the Teen Puzzler Room.

The Summit County Library is a county department which abides by state library laws. The seven member Board of Trustees (BOT) is appointed by the Summit County Commissioners and we are looking for a volunteer to serve one opening for a 5 year term as a new member of the board.

The members are selected to represent the geographic area of the county and serve without financial compensation. The BOT governs the library, establishes policies, and employs a library director to carry out the policies and manage the library.

The board meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month, usually at the County Commons in Frisco. Please sumbit your letter of linterest indicating why you would like to serve on the Library Board and your resume outlining your past experiences to the Executive Director, Joyce Dierauer, by Saturday, Nov. 12  at 5 pm. The Bilingual Story Time is this Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 am at the South Branch Library.  We will be reading Down on the Farm. Stories are told in both English and Spanish. 

On Tuesday, November 15 and on Wednesday, November 16 at 11 am read with your fellow preschoolers at the North Branch Library’s story time. We are reading about Wonderful Me.  You don’t want to miss it!

The South Branch Library in Breckenridge also hosts story time on Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 am. Come by the South Branch Library to read books, sing songs, and more. We meet in the Hopefull/Discovery Room downstairs. We will be reading Let’s Eat. We look forward to seeing you there!

Save the Date

The Summit County Library concludes the Adult Fall Reading Program, Read. Relax. Repeat., on Friday, November 18 at 6:30 pm with Colcannon, a Celtic Irish group, in the Blue River Room of the North Branch Library in Silverthorne.  
Colcannon plays Irish music with panache, warmth and wit. Timeless songs and great musicianship transport the audience to another time and place. 

Get Your Bingo card completed and enter it to win one of three prize bags drawn at the free concert on Nov. 18.
