Are you ready to ROCK this summer? Children up to 12 years old can join our Libraries ROCK! Summer Reading Program, now through July 31st at any Lafayette Public Library location. They can participate in any of the multiple free programs like storytelling, puppetry, crafts, dance, drawing, plays, bubbles, music, and more. There will be one level of prizes, based on reading minutes and challenges. Pick up a reading log from the library or log online at LafayettePublicLibrary.org. The main prize is an inflatable Libraries ROCK! guitar and a chance to win a grand prize bicycle!
The Main Library will host the Libraries ROCK! Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. In addition to the performances listed to the right, kids can enjoy a fun jump, crafts, community fun with downtown organizations, and more. We’ll have food trucks selling a variety of treats. Also joining us, for the first time, is the Bicycle Safety Festival in Parc Putnam. For more about our Summer Reading Program and Kickoff, call 261-5779.
