Lafayette Reads Together |
Lafayette Reads Together is a community-wide reading and learning experience from the Lafayette Public Library, the Lafayette Parish School System and many local organizations. We hope you will attend the following programs:
Join us for Birth of the Krazy: The Early Days of George Herriman and Krazy Kat at the Main Library on Tuesday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. George Herriman's biographer Michael Tisserand revisits the years when boxing, funny animals and one cartoonist's genius produced Krazy Kat, the most enigmatic character in comics.
In The Evolution of Diversity in Comics, LSU’s Brannon Costello will discuss racial and ethnic portrayals in comic books. This talk will take place at the South Regional Library on Saturday, March 11 from 2 to 3 p.m. |

Notes from the Library Director |
I love the local “Shop Lafayette” and “Eat Lafayette” campaigns that encourage our community to support local businesses. So why not “Read Lafayette?” Everything our library system does centers around encouraging everyone to read and use local library resources.
