Welcome to Teen Happenings

March is all about technology!  Teen Tech Week is march 6 through 12 and all teens are invited to stop by the Teen Center to see all of our digital resources.  From help with homework, to streaming movies, and downloading ebooks and music, the Library has you coverd 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   

Need help getting started with our Overdrive, Hoopla, Zinio and Freegal?  Stop by our drop in Library @ Your Fingertips program on Saturday, March 12 from 2-4 p.m. and we will get you connected to all of our digital apps.

Virtual Book Club Selection

In honor of Teen Tech Week, our virtual book club select is Enders Game by Orson Scott Card.  This classic science fiction tale chronicles Ender Wiggins training to defeat an alien race known as the “buggers.”   Discuss the book and the recent movie online  on the Teen pages at www.btpl.org.   

 
   
New STEM Kits are here!

We have added a variety of kits including a 21000 piece Lego Architecture set, a Gravity Maze game, a Magnetic Building Set, a Planetarium Projector, and a Rocks and Mineral study kit which may be checked out for use at home or school.   See our collection.

 
   
Vitual Scavenger Hunt
If  you cannot make it to the library for Teen Tech Week, visit our  teen pages at www.btpl.org to find a fun online scavenger hunt utalizing our digital resources to solve a mystery.  If you solve it correctly, you could win  a prize!

Get Involved @ Your Library:  Join TAB!
Teens are invited to take part in our monthly round table meetings to discuss books, movies, music, and programing for teens. TAB members may also assist in promoting the Library and reading through blogs, posters, flyers, bibliographies and more.  TAB meets the second Tuesday of each month during the school year from 4-5:30 p.m.   Registration is required.
