Craft-Palooza

Tuesday, August 14 @ 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Help us clear out our extra crafts cabinet by making lots of crafts to take home.
For all ages!  Sign-up required!

 

 

Baby Sign Language

Saturday, August 25 @ 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Learn some simple sign language along with your child through books and activities.
For ages 1-3 years!  Sign-up requied!

 

 

Monday Movie Munchies

Monday, August 27 @ 11:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Enjoy a meal while watching a great family film on the library's big screen.
This month, we will be watching The Wizard of Oz.
Lyrics will be displayed so audience can sing along to the songs.
Please bring your own food.  Vending machines available to purchase snacks and drinks.
For all ages!

 

 

Tech for Tots

Tuesday, August 28 @ 10:45-11:15 a.m. or 6:45-7:15 p.m.

Introduce your child to simple tech during this hands-on tech play time.
Parents must supervise their children during this program.
(This program funded in part by a IMLS grant through the Missouri State Library.)
For ages 2-7 years!

 

 

Ice Cream Social: A Family Night

Thursday, August 30 @ 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Join us for an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social with activities including stories, games and ice cream.
For all ages!  Sign-up required!

Stories and activities for all ages
In September, we will be reading the 2018 Missouri Building Block Picture Book Award nominee books.
Children will be able to vote the week of September 24th, for their choice for the award.
Story TIme will not be held on Monday, September 3 as the library will be closed in honor of Labor Day.

Afterschool Club

Tuesdays @ 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Join us every Tuesday afterschool for activities for kids!

Baby & Me: Lapsit

Saturday, September 1 @ 10:00 a.m.

Introduce your baby to the library with stories, songs, and sensory activities.
For ages 3-24 months!  Sign-up required!

 

 

PLay Time

Tuesday, September 4 @ 10:$5-11:30 a.m.

Join us for a time of unstructured free play for kids.
A special toy collection will be brought out for the Play Time.
Parents must supervise their children during Play Time.

Kids Book Club

Tuesday, September 4 @ 4:30-5:00 p.m.

Interested in joining a book club for kids?
Each month, we'll read a book and meet to discuss and do a related activity.
Join us as we pick the first month's book.
Kids Book Club will meet every first Tuesday @ 4:30-5:00 p.m.
For 2nd-6th grades!  Sign-up required!

 

 

Story Time @ Chick-FIl-A

Friday, September 7 @ 9:30 a.m.

Jois us at the Arnold Chick-Fil-A restaurant for a Grandparents Day themed story time.
For all ages!

 

 

Discover Nature: Youth Fishing Class

Saturday, September 8 @ 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Join us as we learn about our fishing rod and tackle, the fish in Missouri, and tips for fishing.
Includes a hands-on fishing activity.
All children must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old!
Limited space in the class.
For ages 6-15 years!  Sign-up required!

 

 

Founding Fathers & Mothers of America

Friday, September 14 @ 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Learn about some of the men and women who helped found our country.
The Kids Learn Classes are for homeschoolers and other interested youth.
For ages 5-16 years!  Sign-up required!

 

 

Read with Daisy the Dog

Monday, September 17 @ 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Visit with CHAMP certified therapy dog Daisy
and practice your reading skills by reading a book to her.
For K-5th grades!

 

 

Art Masters Class

Wednesday, September 19 @ 4:30-5:15 p.m.

Learn about the artist Gustav Klimt before creating a project based on his artwork "The Tree of Life".
For ages 6-14 years!  Sign-up required!
