A young man tries to fulfill his father's wish to find gold in the treacherous Yukon Valley of Alaska. Along the way he befriends a veteran gold miner and a magnificent wolf-dog named White Fang.

With a lot of support and encouragement from his minnow friend, Nugget, Fang the shark makes it through his first day at Mini Minnows Elementary.

When Max and the Flock discover an unscrupulous scientist who's experimenting on humans in an effort to "improve" the human race, they decide that they must try to stop him, in spite of Angel's prediction that Fang will die.
