Summary
Count each little toe one by one in this sweet picture book!
Ten little toes on two small feet.
These ten toes are ten times sweet!
Join a group of toddlers for an exciting day as their ten little toes wriggle and wiggle, splatter and pitter-patter, and wibble-wobble! After a small bump and fall, a parent comforts a child and kisses those little toes before setting the child back down. Once two feet touch the floor, ten little toes are off again!

School Library Journal Review
Toddler-PreS-This book describes what children can do with their toes and feet. The little ones put their feet in the air, crawl, and nap. They also exercise their toes by tapping, curling, splashing, tickling, and wiggling. Dempsey wonderfully captures the movements of babies. The pastel illustrations provide a warm, playful look at the daily life of toddlers who are still in the process of developing their various motor skills. The illustrations also direct viewers' attention to the joyful expressions of each baby portrayed. VERDICT This title is a great teaching resource for tots learning early counting skills and awareness of their bodies. Parents can also use it to help their babies develop their motor skills.-Deanna Smith, Mamaroneck Public Library, NY © Copyright 2016. Horn Book Review
Fingers features several toddlers playing and eating cake, exploring--and counting--what they can achieve with their hands. Toes follows more tykes, this time highlighting what little feet do during the day. The consonant-laden, rhythmic texts ("Ten toes curl, ten toes tap. / Ten toes peek out from a nap") make for good read-alouds; the warm illustrations feature diverse groups of tots. Kirkus Review
Singsong verse and cuddly illustrations of round-faced toddlers characterize this picture book.Less a story than an album of pictures of a diverse array of barefoot toddlers, the simple text invites readers to look at young children in slice-of-life moments. The human diversity arises in depicted skin tone and hair texture, though the title and the text as a whole reiterate other books and rhymes universalization of bodies with ten little toes on two small feet. The children play, sleep, and count their 10 toes, and on four pages adult caregivers make an appearance. Whereas previous spreads showed the toddlers alone or with these adults, the final one depicts three children, two white and one with brown skin and dark, textured hair, going off together: Ten little toes are off again! A cleverer closing mightve counted all 30 toes in this spread, but this isnt a book bent on being clever so much as being sweet. Ten and two dont add up to much new.
