As the kids discover the heroes inside themselves, a platoon of wacky characters, far-out music, and sci-fi surprises turn this madcap mission into a major victory for fun!|"We wanted to do an ensemble piece," says RECESS creator Joe Ansolabeher. The idea was to do a show that recalled the great sitcoms of the 1970s, where the action centered on the workplace. As adults, thats "where you make your friends. You and they dont necessarily have that much in common, but because you share the same situation, you unite around people who complement your abilities and your skills and your point of view." For Joe and partner Paul Germain, the playground presented a similar situation for kids -- and RECESS was born.|Usually voice actors are recorded individually, with the dialogue director reading cue lines. For both the television series and the motion picture, however, the cast of six main characters were recorded in the booth together whenever possible.
