About this item
Almost 50 years have passed since Richard Dawkins' "The Selfish Gene" was published, and nearly 30 years since "The Evolution of Desire" explored the intricacies of human love. Yet, there has been a conspicuous lack of books examining family, politics, economy, society, and culture comprehensively from the perspectives of evolution and genetics. In response to this gap, a professor of Bio and Brain Engineering at KAIST, who is also an expert in human genomics, has undertaken the task of addressing these issues. Utilizing the latest research from renowned journals such as Nature, Science, and Cell, the author dissects the inequities and dysfunctions in contemporary society - economic inequality, hate politics, exploitative societies, and meritocratic cultures.
