About the Author

Sonja Wimmer was born and raised in Munich, Germany. After studying graphic design and working at different firms in Munich and Brussels, she decided to devote herself entirely to images. With one suitcase and a great deal of enthusiasm, she moved to Barcelona to study illustration at the Llotja School of Art and Design. Since then, she has lived and worked there among brushes, colors and a magical world full of imagination. She has done illustrations for books, posters, special interest magazines and murals for public spaces. She works with publishers such as Cruïlla, Tangrintler Medienhaus, exlibri, Cuento de Luz and other clients in both Spain and Germany. Her poetic images invite us to dream, and they tickle the inner child in all of us. The Word Collector, published by Cuento de Luz, is the first book where Wimmer also wrote the story.Sonja Wimmer nació y creció en Munich, en Alemania. Después de sus estudios de diseño gráfico y el trabajo en diferentes agencias en Munich y Bruselas, decidió dedicarse plenamente a las imágenes. Con una maleta y mucho entusiasmo se mudó a Barcelona para estudiar ilustración en la Llotja, Escola Superior de Disseny i Art. Desde entonces vive y trabaja allí entre pinceles, colores y un mundo mágico lleno de imaginación. Ha hecho ilustraciones para libros, carteles, revistas especializadas y murales para espacios públicos.Trabaja para editoriales como Cruilla, Tangrintler Medienhaus, exlibri, Cuento de Luz y otros clientes tanto en España como en Alemania.
