About the Author

Sharon Burgess

Sharon Burgess was born in the Haight-Asbury district of San Francisco at the end of World War II. She grew up in a home where there were always books. The public library was only a block away. Over the years, she read a wide variety of genres: Fantasy, Westerns, Mysteries, Science Fiction. Two of her favorites include Winds of War by Herman Wouk and Robert Heinlein's future history series starring Lazarus Long. But she never read romance until after her husband died."There was no need," she says. "I was living a real-life romance with my own personal hero." After his death, she read her first Nora Roberts novel, Jewels of the Sun. From there on she was hooked, absorbing romance novels as she did comfort food. She writes sweet romance--the kind of books she won't be embarrassed to have her grandchildren read. You won't find any graphic sex scenes in her books. Any sex that happens in her novels takes place behind closed doors.
