Gary Carter

Isn't nature amazing? That thought was constantly going through the mind of the young Gary Carter since he was a little boy. Gary spent his childhood running after butterflies, observing bugs, and climbing trees.

As he was growing up, he wanted to learn more about this beautiful planet that we live on. And while things like biology and medicine were exciting for him, young Gary found himself constantly reaching towards growing plants. There was something exceptionally rewarding for him about watching seeds grow into all kind of amazing plants.

Luckily for Gary, his family had a small house with a garden where he loved to spend his time the most. His parents never really shared his interest in nature. The only person in his family who was just as obsessed with gardening as Gary was his grandpa, John. He was the one who taught Gary the basics of horticulture.

Right now, Gary Carter is 34 years old and lives in Manhattan with his cute furry cat Baron. And while he doesn't spend too much time in his old house, he still continues to enjoy his hobby with a small garden right in his apartment using a hydroponic system.

Since his youth, Gary accumulated a lot of knowledge on different aspects of horticulture, which he wants to share with everyone who's interested. That's what his books are all about.
