About the Author
Philip P. Massaro is the President of Massaro Ballistic Laboratories, LLC, a custom ammunition company, which is comfortably nestled in between the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. He has been handloading ammunition for 20 years, and has loaded a wide range of pistol and rifle ammunition, from the lightest plinking loads through the heavy hitting cartridges designed for animals that are measured in tons. Having been taught how to shoot as a very young man, he developed a love for firearms and their paraphernalia. He is a veteran of three African safaris and dozens of North American hunts, and enjoys quality time spent afield in the quiet, wild places. His writing credits include Gun Digest's Shooters Guide to Reloading and Understanding Ballistics: Comprehensive Guide to Choosing the Proper Bullet, as well as articles in Gun Digest The Magazine, Guns & Ammo, Modern Shooter, Safari Journal of Safari Club International and more.
